New & Improved

The 2024 season brings the final finishing touches to the new Sylvan Lake Lodge Rooms, State Game Lodge Cabin updates, and the State Game Lodge Hotel Rooms full interior renovations. We have also made updates to staff dormitories, added watercraft launchers to the decks at Sylvan Lake and Legion Lake, updated Blue Bell Store, and installed new RFID door lock systems throughout the resort.

Signs of Progress

The State Game Lodge Hotel Rooms are getting a facelift for 2024. Modernized updates include all new interiors including texture, paint, blue pine bugwood trim & doors and all new flooring & furniture throughout, featuring custom-built solid-wood blue pine console units. Construction is ahead of schedule, and we cannot wait for the refreshed rooms to be unveiled in early Spring.

Contactless RFID Locks

Sylvan Lodge Rooms Get Final Touches

Sylvan Lake Lodge's hotel rooms underwent quite the transformation due to the 2021 electrical fire. Lodge rooms were rebuilt and/or renovated in 2022 and back online for 2023 with temporary finishings. For 2024, the rooms & rebuilt general store are officially complete. New Dock & Watercraft Launchers

Your Custer State Park watercraft rental experience just got better. Sylvan Lake Lodge's dock is being rebuilt, and both Legion Lake and Sylvan Lake docks are getting watercraft launchers, which will help with loading & unloading your rented canoe, kayak or SUP boards.

Rentals remain first-come first-served and boat inventory continues to expand. Stop in Legion Lake Lodge or Sylvan Lake Lodge for a peaceful morning or afternoon soaking in the granite surrounds.
