This magnificent carving is almost always on the itinerary for people who stay at Custer State Park Resort. It’s an incredible sight to see in the overall Black Hills experience.

This monument displays an unforgettable image of American grit. Amy Grisak from Rock and Gem puts it perfectly, “...The Mount Rushmore National Monument is an example of the creativity, ingenuity, and sheer toughness of Americans, and of the pride we take in carving inspirational figures into stone to inspire future generations.”
