State Game Lodge Accommodations

This gracious stone and wood lodge is set in a beautiful mountain valley and surrounded by pondersora pine trees. The State Game Lodge is famous for its presidental visitors. Both President Coolidge and President Eisenhower stayed in the lodge, which led to this lodge being listed on the National Register of Historic places. As the largest resort in the park, the State Game Lodge features 101 sleeping rooms. With 77 lodge/motel rooms and 24 cabins, this resort is a favorite for family reunions and group events. 

All units are climate controlled, fully furnished and include daily housekeeping service. All units include coffee pots and flat screen TVs. All cabins include outdoor fire pits and picnic tables. Pets are allowed in cabins for a fee of $10 per night per pet. Guest laundry facilities are available on-site. The State Game Lodge also hosts a full-service restaurant, general store with gas pumps, and banquet facilities. The well-known, crowd-pleasing Jeep tours also depart from this historic lodge.

• Ranch house is located approx. seven (7) miles from the State Game  Lodge. Two-story house with three separate bedrooms. Living room of the lower level has two sets of bunk beds. Full kitchen and formal dining room. Large living room area on both levels. Sleeps maximum of 12.

General Information

• Pots, pans, dishes, and utensils are furnished in cabins that have kitchens/kitchenettes.
• All lodge rooms, motel rooms, and cabins have bathrooms.
• Extra person $10.00 per day. Rollaways $10.00 per day.
• Maid service, towels, and linens are provided in all units.
• Pets $10.00 per night per pet.
• All lodging options are NON-SMOKING.

Guarantee and Cancellation Policies

Because of its spectacular location and all that Custer State Park has to offer, there is a high demand for lodging in the park which makes it necessary for the following GUARANTEE and CANCELLATION policies to be in place. Please read through these policies carefully before making your reservation:

Reservation Guarantee Policy

The first and last nights stay plus tax is required for a deposit to guarantee the reservation. Credit card guarantees are charged the deposit amount at the time of booking. Immediately, upon receipt of your deposit, a written confirmation of the reservation will be emailed to you.

Cancellation Policy

• Reservations cancelled on or before 15 days prior to arrival date will receive a deposit refund less a $25.00 cancellation fee.
• Reservations cancelled within 15 days prior to arrival date will forfeit the total deposit amount unless the property is able to re-rent the cabin or room. A $25.00 cancellation fee will be imposed against any refund due.

Sturgis Rally Cancellation Policy

• Reservations must be prepaid in full for the entire stay during this annual event. Please see future rally dates below.
• Reservations cancelled on or before 30 days prior to arrival date will receive a deposit refund less a $25.00 cancellation fee.
• Reservations cancelled within 30 days prior to arrival date will forfeit the total deposit amount unless the property is able to re-rent the cabin or room. A $25.00 cancellation fee will be imposed against any refund due.
• Early checkouts will result in the deposit balance being held until the remaining nights are re-rented.
