Start Planning
First things first... everyone needs a place to stay. Each of our four lodges offer sleeping cabins, housekeeping cabins, and campsites (reserved through the state) that are within a 1/2 mile of each lodge. Lodge rooms can be found at the State Game Lodge and Sylvan Lake Lodge... and remember, all resort cabins and lodge rooms are fully modernized so you can wake up to wilderness without sacrificing everyday conveniences.
But which lodge is best? Each brings its own unique offerings to your vacation. Some families will even lodge-hop to experience more than one! For full pricing and details, check out the individual page for each lodge:

Set Up a Room Block
Now that you've chosen a lodge, contact our Sales & Catering office. We will help you set up a 90-day courtesy hold, which will hold up to ten units specifically for you and your family for 90 days from the time it is set up. When should you do this? As soon as possible! We understand that it is difficult to get a group to commit; however, we book quiickly during the summer, so we want to give you and your family members the best opportunity we can to allow everyone to stay together, which means reserving early. We have 50+ different room types within Custer State Park Resort, so the earlier you reserve, the better chance you have of getting the room type that suits your needs.
Catered Family Meals
Since everyone is likely to be running around enjoying the different sights and activities during the day, it might be nice to bring the gang together for a catered dinner. Each of our four lodges offers full-service catering, as well as banquet space options. We offer selections as simple as boxed lunches and casual cookouts, or as complex as an elegant buffet. Don't feel like leaving the comfort of your cabin? No problem! We can also cater a meal to your family at your rented cabin!
Check out our Venue Spaces & Catering section for banquet space and meal options, and contact our Sales & Catering Office at 605.255.4672 to check availability!
